Broadford Rovers vs Knocklyon united 15/09/13
Broadford rovers arrived at the knocklyon's pitches on a cold, windy and at times extremely wet day. Unfortunately they were hit with the news that the ref never arrived and they would have to play a friendly against their recent rivals over the years. One of the knocklyon parents would take the responsilbilty of such a game. Knocklyon got an early goal with a goalkeeper/defending error. Broadford were also short staffed with few subs and missing key players such as Ian Mckim at right back, Aaron Bradshaw in CAM and the new arrival to the team: Yohan in centre mid. Although they were missing players broadford hit back almost instantly. Aaron Hunt the goalkeeper came out of hit box twice to clear the ball but was having trouble kicking the ball on such horrible conditions. The knocklyon stricker took a good shoot from inside the box and Aaron made a good save and parried it away, he instantly got up to jump on the ball; he had possesion but the knocklyon striker had kicked it out of his hands straight into the goal. Surely a freekick but biased refereeing made it 2-1. The second half was meet with dirty play from the knocklyon side but was also retaleated by the broadford defence. The 'ref' had decided not to play offside for the knocklyon team which made it easy but the broadford defence stood strong. The match was going to end early because nothing was being learnt by either team, the broadford defence made a big error in defence which made it easy for knocklyon to get another.
